It is very essential that students who have less time to study for but aim for getting into the national team to know how to prepare smartly for each stage. I post stage-wise information for the Indian Olympiad program and also general study resources for biology.
OCSC- Theory depth: Books

Here is a subject wise list of books that you can refer to to gain in-depth biology. They are fantastically designed and I am sure you will love every single one of them.
There are only 10 days left for the registration of the 1st stage for IBO. Interested students are advised to register via their schools only as soon as possible if they have not registered. Tens of lakhs of students from all over participate in this. It is conducted by IAPT joined with IABT.
The most difficult stage is the Orientation-cum-Selection camp held at H.B.C.S.E. for 10 days. This is because it involves rigorous practical tasks of the IBO level. What to study for I.N.B.O.

This level includes all kinds of questions including MCQs (with negative marking), True/False type passages, numericals. So the questions are of very high conceptual levels which need depth in biology. One has to deal with reasoning, negating etc.
What to study for N.S.E.B.

Students eligible should thoroughly go through the NCERT Biology textbooks for class 11 and 12, because they make the ground level knowledge to attempt the paper.
